Above Crimsworth Dean
Looking towards Heptonstall Moor...
Crimsworth Dean chisels through the land near the fantastic Hardcastle Crags. Waterfalls abound and steep valley sides when climbed, allow splendid long distance views over West Yorkshire leading to Lancashire.
Clough Head Hill, small hamlets exist where vulnerable dwellings cling to the slopes, many lay abandoned where once proud hill folk laboured and toiled away the hours. The nearby bridleway travels from Hebden Bridge to Haworth and Bronte country. You can see the end of Hardcastle Crags just below the road in the centre of this photograph.
Tell me why do you walk the road that leaves the hills behind...?
