During the 1970's I was shooting images for the John Blackburn Design Partnership. Based in London's Soho, Blackburn's was considered to be one of the leading Design Groups of that era. Working for many different organisations - originality, creativity and quality were the main concerns. Clients included the legendary advertising agency of Collett, Dickenson & Pearce (CDP) for whom JB designed the gold Benson and Hedges and the white and purple Silk Cut packs.

Another major client was Knightsbridge based Annabel Jones Jewellery. Annabel became Lady Astor and her daughter Samantha went on to marry a certain Mr.Cameron! The work produced for Annabel Jones was fantastic and at the time ground breaking, most photography was produced using 10"x8" transparency film and art directed by John Blackburn, Sue Jennings, Sheila Broom, Brian Gittings and the amazing Joe Gillespie. The very expensive Kodak Dye Transfer process was also used in the production process.

One image in particular I shot in a London Mayfair gentlemen’s club and involved Rachel Ward and Bruce Oldfield, It was a hot summers day and we had a raging coal fire burning away in the background. Some of these images are surfacing on Pinterest and other sites, considering they were shot over 30 years ago is quite flattering!
