Woodland colours

The English Lake District on a slightly misty and overcast autumn day. Rich browns, rusts and golden hues contrast with vibrant mossy greens within luscious woodland. The evocative scent of leaf mold and earth add to the melancholy of the season.

Most of these images are from the thick woodland near Colwith Force, Atkinson's Coppice and High Park Coppice.
